I recently thought of something that will probably be called LiguritOS when it's done. LiguritOS is a revolutionary idea in many fields. It can change how the world views education forever. It is 3 ideas in one. The first is a computer that will be cheap, easy to manufacture and would have the OS installed. The second is the actual operating system, which will be open source and free (with limits on reselling). The third is a whole group of ideas for applications to further education.
These support multiple global issues. First and foremost, access to good education. Since access to computing technology is very rare in many countries and many areas of even the most successful countries, I will help people experience electric technology before they normally would have. Another major issue in many areas of the world is the view on education. As an example, 61% of Americans find education boring[1]
I have coded in HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and slightly with Asp.net as for web based coding.
In relation to non-web based coding, I have coded in C++, Java, VBScript, Actionscript, and 3 noticablely different variations of Lua. I have also spent time in other languages that do not currently deserve mention.
I feel that this site is a sufficient demonstration of my coding abilities.
What was originally an assignment turned into a revolutionary idea

It is a great educational tool for everyone
Can be used to learn programming or to have a good programming platform.
Allows those who are underprivileged to have access to education that they normally wouldn't have
Lets the underprivileged work with computers, making it easier for the teachers to assign things that they normally wouldn't have the chance to.
·ThoughtShare: Banner advertisements generate revenue while people using the program answer questions and are told that for every 10000 that are answered one computer gets donated to those who normally couldn't afford it. Questions are submitted by teachers and can be reported*
·SoundLine:Schools can create and sell music(Only teachers can upload) Rules about reporting still apply*
·Marprog:Programming teacher based on age and knowledge level
·AppSchools:Apps can be created and sold by schools** that are reportable*
·TeachBLounge:Blog where teachers can write and others can read*
·The Forums:Main area of sharing and communication.
·Basic word processors, task managers, presentation creation, etc.
*(A question reported (1/8 of Views*Teacher Reputation) times is removed). Corporate chosen volunteers can check reports to see whether it is valid or not. If 1/2 of the moderators say that it warrants deletion, if will be deleted and the teacher's score lowered
**Teachers uploadable only
Full info coming soon
I will evaluate how the project is going based off of 3 main factors.
·Average Scores on standardized tests in high poverty areas using LiguritOS
·College and High School completion and dropout rates.
·Total units sold.
